FOCUS AND SCOPE

Manthano: Journal of Christian Education is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Real Batam, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing rigorous academic inquiry into Christian Religious Education (CRE) grounded in Christian theology, biblical scholarship, and pedagogical science. Manthano serves as an international forum for researchers, educators, theologians, church leaders, and practitioners committed to the development of Christian education across diverse ecclesial, institutional, and cultural contexts.

The journal focuses on the study of Christian Religious Education in its theological, pedagogical, spiritual, and social dimensions, and its relationship with the broader discipline of theology and the human sciences. Manthano publishes original research that makes a substantive contribution to knowledge, whether through empirical field studies, biblical and theological analysis, curriculum inquiry, or interdisciplinary engagement. Manuscripts may employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method research designs, provided the methodology is rigorous, transparent, and appropriate to the research question.
