About the Journal
Manthano: Journal of Christian Education is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published twice yearly, in March and September, by Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Real Batam, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to advancing rigorous academic inquiry into Christian Religious Education grounded in Christian theology, biblical scholarship, and pedagogical science.
Manthano serves as an international forum for researchers, educators, theologians, church leaders, and practitioners committed to the development of Christian education across diverse ecclesial, institutional, and cultural contexts. The journal publishes original research employing qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method approaches, as well as biblical, theological, and conceptual studies relevant to educational practice.
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and integrity of published scholarship. Published articles are immediately and permanently available free of charge to all readers under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Manthano is nationally accredited at SINTA 4 under Decree Number 177/E/KPT/2024, issued by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
